- Keyboard is very popular input device and the most common which in inputting data to the Computer.
- The Keyboard of the layout is like that of conventional typewriter although there are some additional key provided for performing additional functions.
Keyboard are of two sizes 84 keys and 101/102 keys, but now the keyboard with 104 keys and 108 keys are also available for Windows or Internet.
- Function Keys :- F1 to F12.
- Numeric Keys :- 0 to 9
- Alphabetic keys:- A to Z.
- Special Keys :- ctrl, alt, shift.
- Non Printable Keys :- Tab, Enter, Space bar.
- Editing Keys :- Delete, Back space, Insert.
- Symbolic Keys:- @, #, (, $, %, ), etc.
Cursor Movement Command
End :- Move to the end of the current line.
Page Up :- Scroll up one screen.
Page Down :- Scroll up down one screen.
ctrl+up :- Scroll up one line.
ctrl+Down :- Scroll down one line.
ctrl+PageUp :- Scroll left one screen.
ctrl+PageDown :- Scroll right one screen.
ctrl+Home :- Scroll to the start of the document.
ctrl+End:- Scroll to the end of the document.
ctrl+Left :- Move left one word.
ctrl+Right :- Move right one word.
2. Mouse
It is a very famous cursor control device having a small palm size box with a round ball at its base which senses the movement of mouse and sends corresponding signals to CPU when the mouse buttons are pressed.
- Easy to use the mouse.
- Not very expensive
- move the cursor faster then the arrow keys of keyboard.
